It's sad but true, Bowlapalooza is nearing an end.
After nearly four months of online SSB action, the final monthly contest is winding down. Before we can say farewell to the summer fun; however, there's quite a contest brewing as August 25th approaches.
67-year-old Ron Hammersley has taken charge once again. The Beech Grove, Indiana bowler has already won two of the monthly contests and is trying to add a third title to his resume.
After somewhat of a disappointing performance in the July Jam, the Hammer has responded with an impressive showing in the August Encore. As of August 20th his 290.52 average was good for first place.
The rest of the field refuses to go quietly into the night, and Nebraska's Rob Wright along with Indianapolis bowler Del Flecker are hot on his heals. Rob's 288.60 average and Del's 288.40 average have put them in perfect position to make a move as time winds down. Expect these two to make it no easy task for Hammersley in the coming days. Even if you're not at the top, you can still get in on the action or raise your average and cash in!
Tuesday marks the last day of Bowlapalooza, and this is shaping up to be our closest and most exciting competition yet - you don't want to miss out! Visit the Bowlapalooza website and stay tuned to Silverstrikebowling.com for a full August Encore recap!
