Deadeye is Dead On

Del Flecker's Insane Weekend of SSB Lifts Him to the Top of the August Encore Leaderboard

Leaderboard

Timing is everything, and for Indianapolis SSB pro "Deadeye" Del Flecker, he couldn't have picked a better time to go on the best Silver Strike streak of his career.

The 2008 SSB Nationals third place finisher has a reputation as one of the nation's finest bowlers, but even he had to be shocked with his unreal play the weekend of August 21st through the 23rd.

Del managed to rip off eight 300-games in that time span, while rolling a 290, two 289s, and a 288! In doing so, he raised his average from 288.40 to 296.68 in three days and moved from third place to the top spot!

The leaderboard shakeup comes at the ideal time for Del, as the August Encore comes to a close August 25th!

Nebraska trackballer Rob Wright ripped off three 300-games this past weekend as well in an attempt to keep pace with Del's hot hand! He currently sits second with a 293.56 average, and will need quite a streak is he hopes to catch Deadeye.

Beech Grove, Indiana's Ron Hammerin' Hammersley fell from the top spot to third place as he ran into these hot streaks. Still, his 292.52 average leaves him in good position to move upwards.

It should be an exciting finish in the August Encore as four months of Bowlapalooza action is set to come to a close. Be sure to get those last minute games in as the contest officially ends at 11:59 on Tuesday, August 25th!
