A Loaded Field and a $5,000 Top Prize Highlight This Weekend's TOC!

After months of qualifying, the biggest SSB tournament in 2009 is finally upon us.

Club Lucky's Tournament of Champions 2 is ready to get rolling, and the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa will play host to the exciting $25,000 trackball event. Thirty-eight of the games best bowlers will be in attendance, all with their focuses set on winning the $5,000 top prize!

Cedar Rapids native and '08 SSB National Champion Mike Cornwell will be looking for his first major tournament since he won in Las Vegas more than a year ago. Last year's TOC champion, Indianapolis bowler Telly Rogers, will also be in attendance with his eyes set on back-to-back TOC titles.

Friday night there will be SSB games open for practice, players will be able to register, and there will even be a mini-tournament to get players ready for the big event.

Saturday, the official tournament gets underway with the first qualifying round beginning at 11:00 AM. The second of three qualifiers will begin 1:00 PM, and the final qualifying round will start at 3:00 PM.

Once all participants have finished qualifying, tournament matches will then start around 6:00 PM. At the end of the evening, when the dust has cleared, the 2009 TOC Silver Strike champion will be crowned!

Club Lucky will be hosting the Golden Tee Tournament of Champions at the same time, and as an added bonus, (barring any TOC emergencies) all players in attendance will get to catch a sneak peak and even play Silver Strike LIVE. That's more than enough reason to make the trip, even if you didn't qualify!
