The Last of the SSB Sweepstakes Winners Celebrate as Silver Strike LIVE Conversions Take Over

More and more Silver Strike LIVE updates are being installed everyday in bars and pubs across the country. And as the newest version of the most successful video bowling game in history continues its roll out, it’s time to look back at the excitement and thrills generated by the Silver Strike Bowling sweepstakes.

“In the future I believe the industry will view the SSB sweepstakes as one of the most ambitious promotions ever conceived for a video game,” said Scott Morrison, marketing VP at Incredible Technologies, the game’s manufacturer.

“In just over three years we awarded over a half-million dollars in cash and prizes to SSB players around the country,” Morrison said. “These were dollars that IT re-invested in the game for the benefit of our operators and their locations. Now we’re doing it again with Silver Strike LIVE prize play. Nobody knows how to motivate and encourage players like IT.”

Since everybody knows everybody at the club, it only took a few minutes for the word to spread that Amy was a big winner of a $5,000 Bass Pro Shops gift card. “Things are pretty depressed in this area,” Amy said. “So something like this is big news.”

Mike Kremski of Advanced Coin Machine in Goodrich was almost as excited for Amy as she was. “It’s not every day I get to give away $5,000. It’s great to be part of something positive like this,” he said.

Vicki Holler of Brandon, Florida loves playing Silver Strike Bowling. This deli manager proclaimed that she “never wins anything” and couldn’t believe it when she saw her name pop up on the screen as the winner of a $3,000 Home Depot gift card. It was the thrill of a lifetime.

“I’ve got a new freezer, washer/dryer and fire pit on my wish list,” she said. “I can’t wait to go shopping!” Vicki’s favorite bar is Lorraine’s Place in Brandon. Empire Game Leasing of Mango services the games at Lorraine’s. Mark Needham did the honors of presenting Vicki with her prize. “It was so cool. The place was packed with Vicki’s friends,” he said.

Jimmy’s Lounge in Dundee, Florida is Gary Dunn’s favorite place to play Silver Strike Bowling. He and his buddies meet at Jimmy’s every Sunday for their weekly Silver Strike tournament.

“We always have a little side action on the game,” Gary said. “We bet on the score and the Vegas Bowling poker hand. We have so much fun you wouldn’t believe it!”

When told he won a $2,000 Best Buy gift card, he was floored. “I’m going out and buy a new computer and flat screen TV,” he said. “This is like a dream!”

Harry Brown of Music & Games in Winter Haven made the presentation at Jimmy’s. “Our Silver Strikes do very well on our route,” he said. “And it’s always great to look like a hero to our locations and players.”

“Leagues and contests really help our earnings,” she said. “And Silver Strike is one of our most popular games.”

Debbie Cramer was the winner of the $1,000 American Airlines gift card. Debbie plays Silver Strike almost every day at the Moose lodge in Silver Springs Maryland where she tends bar.

“I love Silver Strike and A.J. Video always keeps our game in top condition,” she said. “I’m not sure where I’m going yet, but this gift card will really make my vacation something!”
