Florida Silver Striker Brian Erhardt loves this game. In fact, he loves this game so much that to him there is no substitute.
"Often someone might ask us what we would shoot if we were playing 'real' bowling," said Brian. "Us regulars will all turn and stare at them like they have four heads and ask, what do you mean real bowling?"
Brian holds about a 220 average and has really perfected his game over the past five years. In fact, Brian recently nailed a 300-game playing Silver Strike LIVE at Lenny's in Seffner, Florida! On top of this, he's also played at some live events over the past few years, and while he missed out on the 2008 SSB National Championship, he was able to attend and play in Club Lucky's Tournament of Champions last fall.
"That tournament really left an impression on me that goes beyond simply how good some of these guys are at this game," said Brian. "It was just amazing to see people of all ages and all walks of life share the same passion for the game that I do."
Outside of being one the game's most passionate fans, Brian holds a few key distinctions when it comes to his 300-game and his 300 Club submission. First, his 300 had been deleted off the machine, so we had to verify it at by digging up his data. "Everyone in the area already knew about the game, so I wasn't too bummed," said Brian. "Plus, anyone new that I bowl with would see me sporting my 300 Club jersey so they would know right away."
The second item that really separates him is something you've probably already noticed. Brian is the only 300 Club member to offer up some of his thoughts on a sign, where he warns some of the game's best players to watch out.
"These guys are some of the game's top players and as one of the game's biggest fans, I absolutely strive to be where they are at from a skill standpoint," Brian stated. "My little sign was just a little dig until I get to have a blast with them at the TOC once again this year."
Watch out, gentlemen. Congrats to Brian on his 300-game and we wish him nothing but continued success when it comes to "real" bowling!
