Silver Strike LIVE fans have reason to smile.
On Thursday, May 27th all online Silver Strike LIVE games received a bowling patch, and we think you're going to absolutely love a few of the changes that have been made.
The biggest change to go through is the fact that bowlers can now own virtual bowling balls playing Silver Strike LIVE. That's right! 30-game rentals are out, lifetime ownership is in!
Both 1-game and 10-game rentals will still be available, but now players can pick their ideal weight, break and style and have that ball in their bag for life. Best of all, it will only cost you the price of what the 30-game rental did, aka two bucks!
"We decided that we wanted to give players a piece of the game each and every time they play," said Silver Strike LIVE project manager and IT senior artist Ralph Melgosa. "If you haven't been using a card to identify yourself up until this point, having the option to actually own a virtual bowling ball should be all the more reason to give it a try."
On top of being able to own your bowling balls, two other significant changes have also been updated.
Red Pins have now been added to Classic Prize Play games meaning you will be able to keep your ongoing tally even when you want the joys of live, prize contests. While Red Pin Strikes won't net you anything more than extra animations on the game and perhaps a few more high fives, this certainly is something you and your bowling crew can have fun with if you please.
The final addition is something fans of all skill levels can appreciate and SSBC bowlers will certainly recognize. Making its way into Silver Strike LIVE is the Vegas High Hand Leaderboard. Now your epic Vegas Bowling hands will net you some local recognition on the game! This leaderboard will flash in between games and will showcase the finest hands that have been played on that particular cabinet.
These changes are all live and ready for your approval. Visit your local Silver Strike LIVE watering hole and grab a piece of the game by purchasing your ball for good! Stay tuned to Silverstrikebowling.com for more news and updates on the world's greatest bowler!
